Unforgettable Blues: Tedeschi Trucks Band Live – The Sky Is Crying
Tedeschi Trucks Band – The Sky Is Crying – Live at the Royal Albert Hall.
So cool to see Susan bring out her guitar chops as well as her amazing vocals! Good Grief. How much talent can be packed into one woman! She’s just unreal!
The band’s choice of songs for the evening was a delightful mix of blues classics and their own original tunes. While some fans might have hoped for a few more surprises, the selection was solid and provided a well-rounded musical experience.
Susan and Derek’s on-stage chemistry is nothing short of electric. Their connection with the audience was palpable, and they effortlessly drew everyone into the performance. The band’s genuine joy in playing together was infectious and added to the overall magic of the evening.
The Royal Albert Hall is known for its exceptional acoustics, and they did not disappoint on this occasion. The sound quality was superb, although a few minor glitches with the lighting and video screens briefly interrupted the otherwise flawless production.
The crowd’s enthusiasm was a testament to the band’s ability to connect with their audience. From foot-tapping blues aficionados to newcomers to the genre, everyone felt like they were part of something special.
Lyrics:
The sky is cryin’
Can’t you see the tears roll down the street
The sky is cryin’
Can’t you see the tears roll down the street
I’ve been lookin’ for my baby
And I wonder where can she be
I saw my baby early one morning
She was walkin’ on down the street
I saw my baby early this morning
She was walkin’ on down the street
You know it hurt me hurt me so bad
Made my poor heart skip a beat
I got a real real-real-real bad feelin’
That my baby she don’t love me no more
I got a real real bad feelin’
That my baby don’t love me no more
You know the sky the sky’s been cryin’
Can’t you see the tears roll down my nose
