Formed in 1968, Led Zeppelin quickly rose to prominence and became an incredibly influential and successful force in modern music, with a staggering 300 million albums sold worldwide. The band emerged from the remnants of The Yardbirds, as Jimmy Page enlisted the talents of John Bonham, John Paul Jones, and Robert Plant to embark on a tour under the moniker The New Yardbirds. Their debut, a self-titled masterpiece released in 1969, marked the start of a remarkable era spanning 12 years, during which Led Zeppelin firmly secured their position as the world’s foremost and most groundbreaking rock band, with all their subsequent albums produced by Jimmy Page himself.
