Riviera Paradise by Stevie Ray Vaughan & Double Trouble (Live)

Riviera Paradise by Stevie Ray Vaughan & Double Trouble (Live From Austin, TX)

The Stratocaster is a difficult instrument to master and to say that Stevie made it look easy would be an understatement. He touched countless lives with this song when it was recorded just as he still does today. No exaggeration here. The man had a gift that could be seen, heard, and felt in the soul and he shared it with everyone.

I’ve read stories about some very well-respected musicians who appeared humble and kind until a story eventually emerged that showed their true colors and busted their perfect image wide open, but not SRV. He battled his demons like many great artists but never, not a single time, did I ever read or hear anything about him being a jerk or anything less than the humble, kind and giving person we saw on stage. He was genuine. You don’t have to like his music but if you listen to this song and don’t get where I’m coming from then I feel sorry for you because you’re missing one of life’s greatest gifts.
